Jenn

Hello from the master bathroom.

Romy

Romy got internet today! Our stuff is still all over the place.

Jenn

Gas is so cheap here! $1.78/gal

Jenn & Romy

Just dropping some stuff off at our new house. We may need to filter the water because it has a sulfur smell to it. (update: There is no longer a sulfur smell. It seemed to be the stagnant hot water in the water heater only. Once we flushed that out, the water has no noticeable odor.)

Romy

Driving the old Route 66 out of Seligman Arizona back home to Albuquerque!

Romy

At the old salt tramway in Saline Valley. Yes, for those who are wondering, this picture is just a little bit doctored up (but by an actual doctor LOL), but only the color!!!!

Jenn & Romy

Romy found this cabin on Google Earth in the beginning. We then tried to hike to it last year with no successes (we hiked but never found it). This year, we tried to hike to it again and had a friend (Katherine) come with. It started out at Burro Springs at Saline Valley. We ram rodded our way up into the hills and tried to get to high points so we could get a better view (to try and find this cabin). Either Katherine or Romy spotted it. It was getting dark and cold but we all decided it was worth it to keep hiking to get to the cabin. I am soooo glad we went! We learned it was called Murder Cabin. . . . for mysterious reasons (you will have to go and find out)! Freaky!

Jenn

It's my spirit animal, the elusive Western Jackalope! This is at the Panamint Springs gas station. Gotta gas up before heading to Saline Valley for the annual Thanksgiving pot luck!!!

Romy

Going shopping in Vegas for the Thanksgiving pot luck at Saline Valley!

Romy

Romy is testing out his new Samsung Note 5 at the hotel.

Jenn

Doing laundry at the extended stay hotel.

Romy & Jenn

We drove on highway 60 through Arizona through the salt river canyon.

Jenn

Taco time with some of the dingos.

Romy & Jenn

Racing the Baja 1000!!!! Not sure who took this picture, but it was in the first 35 miles of the race.

Romy & Jenn

Seriously, a last minute transmission swap the night before the race!

Romy

Working on the Dingo before the race! Baja 1000 2015. We stay at the 3 Palms compound in Ensenada, part of Real Life Ministries run by Dennis Hollenbeck.

Romy

Whenever we need to go to downtown Ensenada and park all of our vehicles and trailers, we do so next to this seafood stand and then we eat our hearts out! Clams, shrimp, and octopus!

Romy & Gil

Dennis took us to a Mexican hot dog stand in Ensenada. It was good! Really good french fries too with mayonnaise.

Romy & Jenn

Went pre-running mile 40-ish to mile 80-ish on the Baja 1000 course. I drove the 4Runner for the whole thing except this crazy uphill climb.

Pre running the Baja 1000 alongside the Desert Dingos today. #baja10002015

A video of me driving the truck down a crazy washed out section of the course.

Romy & Jenn

Made it to Mexico today! Tonight we went to see N.G. fight her second kick boxing fight in Ensenada! She won against a guy!
And just for fun, a dramatic shot outside the gymnasium.

Jenn

Driving, on our way to Mexico! Somewhere near El Centro, CA.

Romy & Jenn

Came to the storage spot we have temporarily while moving, and discovered it was leaking and half our stuff got wet! Grrrrrrrrr.

Marcel & Romy

Romy's putting a roof rack onto the truck while Marcel is surfing on some spare tires! We are at the extended stay hotel in Albuquerque now!

Jenn

Happy Birthday! We finally went to Mom & Pop's Diner in downtown Carson City for breakfast. I had french toast and hash browns. It was soooo good!

Jenn

Camped out in the living room while we fix the Subaru.

Jenn

Still here, got the engine in, but it is ticking like crazy. I took a picture looking to the east behind me with the last snow on the top of the mountains from earlier this week.

Romy

Found an engine at an auto wrecker next to the Reno airport. Weird thing is that as they were moving the engine with a fork lift, suspended by a chain, the chain broke just as it was almost loaded on our trailer. The engine fell on the concrete from 5 feet off the ground! The auto wreckers scrambled to find another engine that would work, and they found one. We've been running into so many obstacles to get moving, I am beginning to think there is some divine intervention occurring.

Romy & Marcel

2baru's engine broke down catastrophically as we were driving south on 395 out of Gardenerville, NV. We were only 30 miles away from home. The insurance covered a tow truck to get us back home, so we are still in Carson City. We went to Harbor Freight and got a cherry picker (we already have one but it got packed away by the movers) so we could remove the engine and now we are trying to find a replacement engine.

Romy & Jenn

Today we are saying good bye to our home in Carson City. Off to New Mexico! (Actually, we came right back. . . .)

Romy

Sandia is paying for one car to be shipped to New Mexico. Originally, we wanted to ship the Buick, but it wouldn't start. We shipped Bubbles instead at the last minute.

Nicole & Jenn

The movers are here! It got really cold and its going to snow today. The mountains all around us are white.

Jenn

Packing up stuff at my office at DRI. Last week of work at DRI!

Jenn & Romy

Happy Halloween! We are working on the truck's bumper and hitch. We get no trick-or-treaters here.

Jenn

Went to Fallon today for a meeting, and I finally bought some of the alfalfa that was grown on the field we were working at this past spring.

Romy

The work never ends!

Romy

Working on the truck. Gotta get it ready for Baja!

Jenn

The last few days at work, I've been cleaning out my office slowly in the evenings.

Romy & Jenn & Dingos

We are at a film shoot with the Dingo (shhhhhhh can't tell you why right now, but I'll update this when it becomes public info) at Valley of Fire State Park an hour east of Las Vegas. Romy's driving. Professional driver - closed course - do not attempt.
The part of the team that could make it! Crusty, me, Romy, and Jim.

Jenn & Romy

Finally went to get some chili and beer at The Happy Buro in Beatty, NV. We went with the Dingo team and the film crew because Hwy 95 was shut down due to flash flooding AND a chemical fire!

Jenn

Ok, so this picture has neither I nor Romy in it. But its Virginia City and we went here tonight to catch up with some friends for karaoke and to try the new brewery that opened in VC! I love VC!

Romy & Jenn

Stopped here for dinner and beer. With a name like Dingus McGee's, how can you pass this place?

Nicole & Marcel & Romy & Jenn

N&M made it in Dashwood and we finally opened the Dashwood Vineyards wine!

Romy

Romy's helping "Two Tone" get his engine rebuilt after an engine fire last year.

Romy & Jenn

We found another new hot spring! This one is outside of Gandy at the Utah-Nevada border north of Hwy 50. It was a flowing hot river that come from under ground and there was also a deep cave!

Romy & Jenn

We are in Capitol Reef National Park!

Romy

Romy's chowing down on some pizza with green chilies on it at a pizza joint on Route 66 in Albuquerque.

Jenn & Romy

Today we found our house! The video was longer but it got cut off! Oh well, if you want to see the whole thing, you will have to visit!

Romy

On our way to New Mexico with the first load. This is somewhere is Arizona as we climb in elevation.
