The Japanese man next to Romy's bed in the hospital gave me these flowers yesterday when we went home! He was so nice, and I liked him a lot. He was the angle of the dangle man, jesus christ man. LOL!

Romy left the hospital today with a PICC line in his left arm. It's a catheter that was inserted into his bronchial vein. The PICC specialist used ultrasound to guide the catheter from Romy's bicep all the way to his heart. Now Romy could get IV antibiotics at home.

Romy shouldn't be in the hospital anymore by this point, but now we're waiting on our insurance to clear his outpatient treatment.

Romy's looking a lot like normal - sitting and looking at imgur on the internet. We were lucky to have Romy's hospital bed next to a nice window spot all week.

Happy to have some real food now finally and get out of bed to eat! The board behind Romy lists the nurses on duty and the last time he had his pain medication (dilaudid, 7 times stronger than morphine!).

Romy can now have a "full fluids" diet, and he feels good enough to joke around!

Romy's relaxing with his Nevada book, all drugged up on pain killers and antibiotics. He will have to stay in the hospital for a while so his appendix could heal itself.

This morning I took Romy to the E.R. at Alta Bates because he was having pain in his abdomen. When they did the CT scan, the doctors figured out Romy's appendix had ruptured! Notice the pictures from last week, Romy looked totally fine and was doing everything like normal. He's had some mild pain for the past few days but no other signs of appendicitis, like a fever, nausea, etc. The doctors are stumped!

Romy sold the VW Bus interior he was saving for his baja bus project. We need to start getting rid of stuff though. . .

Working on the Dingo at Prairie City. We have a race tomorrow! The carb is pouring gas into the engine and the clutch is all screwed up!

Mike, our landlord, is selling the apartment, and it was officially put on the market today! The first open house is this Sunday. Kind of annoying. . .

Today is our last day with the Daewoo, which we've had for 12 years! I cried a little when I saw the new owners drive it away! But we really can't afford to have so many cars. . .

We are giving our fig tree to N&M while it is still dormant. Since we'll most likely be moving out from Oakland before next time the tree goes dormant, we wanted to dig it out now.

I replaced all of the piston rings on the Dingo engine. We found one bad piston, and all the cylinders were bad!
