Whenever we need to go to downtown Ensenada and park all of our vehicles and trailers, we do so next to this seafood stand and then we eat our hearts out! Clams, shrimp, and octopus!

Dennis took us to a Mexican hot dog stand in Ensenada. It was good! Really good french fries too with mayonnaise.

Went pre-running mile 40-ish to mile 80-ish on the Baja 1000 course. I drove the 4Runner for the whole thing except this crazy uphill climb.

Made it to Mexico today! Tonight we went to see N.G. fight her second kick boxing fight in Ensenada! She won against a guy!

Came to the storage spot we have temporarily while moving, and discovered it was leaking and half our stuff got wet! Grrrrrrrrr.

Happy Birthday! We finally went to Mom & Pop's Diner in downtown Carson City for breakfast. I had french toast and hash browns. It was soooo good!

Camped out in the living room while we fix the Subaru.

Still here, got the engine in, but it is ticking like crazy. I took a picture looking to the east behind me with the last snow on the top of the mountains from earlier this week.

Romy

Found an engine at an auto wrecker next to the Reno airport. Weird thing is that as they were moving the engine with a fork lift, suspended by a chain, the chain broke just as it was almost loaded on our trailer. The engine fell on the concrete from 5 feet off the ground! The auto wreckers scrambled to find another engine that would work, and they found one. We've been running into so many obstacles to get moving, I am beginning to think there is some divine intervention occurring.

2baru's engine broke down catastrophically as we were driving south on 395 out of Gardenerville, NV. We were only 30 miles away from home. The insurance covered a tow truck to get us back home, so we are still in Carson City. We went to Harbor Freight and got a cherry picker (we already have one but it got packed away by the movers) so we could remove the engine and now we are trying to find a replacement engine.

Today we are saying good bye to our home in Carson City. Off to New Mexico! (Actually, we came right back. . . .)

Sandia is paying for one car to be shipped to New Mexico. Originally, we wanted to ship the Buick, but it wouldn't start. We shipped Bubbles instead at the last minute.

The movers are here! It got really cold and its going to snow today. The mountains all around us are white.

Happy Halloween! We are working on the truck's bumper and hitch. We get no trick-or-treaters here.

Went to Fallon today for a meeting, and I finally bought some of the alfalfa that was grown on the field we were working at this past spring.

The last few days at work, I've been cleaning out my office slowly in the evenings.

We are at a film shoot with the Dingo (shhhhhhh can't tell you why right now, but I'll update this when it becomes public info) at Valley of Fire State Park an hour east of Las Vegas. Romy's driving. Professional driver - closed course - do not attempt.

Finally went to get some chili and beer at The Happy Buro in Beatty, NV. We went with the Dingo team and the film crew because Hwy 95 was shut down due to flash flooding AND a chemical fire!

Ok, so this picture has neither I nor Romy in it. But its Virginia City and we went here tonight to catch up with some friends for karaoke and to try the new brewery that opened in VC! I love VC!

N&M made it in Dashwood and we finally opened the Dashwood Vineyards wine!

We found another new hot spring! This one is outside of Gandy at the Utah-Nevada border north of Hwy 50. It was a flowing hot river that come from under ground and there was also a deep cave!

Romy helped me take the pop top off the bus. I got stuck under the weight of the pop top when we took off the support bars! Oh no! It didn't work like I planned it.

We went biking this morning all the way to Genoa, to the oldest bar in Nevada. We got their famous bloody marys!

We went biking this morning around the west side of Carson City and up into Lakeview. Then we stopped for coffee at LA Bakery. It was good!

So, as part of Romy's 'wash the 3baru' campaign, we found a drive through car wash in Carson City to clean the outside of 3baru. It has never been washed since Romy got it and he has been driving it to work on a dry dusty dirt, mud, and gravel road. Now that he is not working, we went through a drive-thru car wash to clean it. It's Monday after Burning Man. The guy at the car wash thought we went to Burning Man with it. LOL! We had to let him know, that, no, we just live in Nevada.

I finally got around to breaking up the pile of sticks and branches! Now we have a bunch of fire wood for our outdoor fireplace!

Romy's working on putting the better arms in the baja and will also put a roll cage in it.
