So, as part of Romy's 'wash the 3baru' campaign, we found a drive through car wash in Carson City to clean the outside of 3baru. It has never been washed since Romy got it and he has been driving it to work on a dry dusty dirt, mud, and gravel road. Now that he is not working, we went through a drive-thru car wash to clean it. It's Monday after Burning Man. The guy at the car wash thought we went to Burning Man with it. LOL! We had to let him know, that, no, we just live in Nevada.

I finally got around to breaking up the pile of sticks and branches! Now we have a bunch of fire wood for our outdoor fireplace!

Romy

Romy's working on putting the better arms in the baja and will also put a roll cage in it.

Romy, awkwardly standing behind Gil's crew, after a mega long quad ride at Sand Mountain (so long I had to leave and drop Crusty off at Burning Man), just east of Fallon, NV.

Romy's co-workers threw Romy a big party for his last week at work! We somehow ended up at a strip club in a double wide along the HWY 50 corridor (hahahaha). Bobby got Romy a pair of Ninja Turtles pajama pants and said its for him to lounge around in, since he doesn't have to wake up super early anymore!!!! This picture is at the entrance of the strip club in the double wide. Notice the red lights and the bars on the entrance door. LOL

Blake and Shelby were in town with Joe and his girlfriend Cory. We went out for drinks (too many drinks!) at the Roxy Bar in Reno. We had martinis! We are already drunk in this picture, can you tell!? LOL!

Here I am at the Pacific Northwest National Lab taking videos of tiny bacteria swimming for a project. That is the microscope I used behind me. It had an ultra sensitive camera, that could pick up the light of a single photon. A single photon!!!!!

Romy

I ordered some vintage 70s glasses while I was in Washington for work. They arrived in the mail at home and I really wanted to know what they looked like, since I was still in Washington. I asked Romy to put them on a take a picture and send it to me.

Romy's putting up the roof! I wanted a shaker roof to keep it traditional and old looking, but we finally went with the cheaper and simpler option.

Getting progress done on the board and batton shed for all the pool equipment! Nicole and Marcel came over to help build most of the framing and siding.

Romy

Romy is measuring out some trim for the new door we installed to the laundry room and half-bath. It didn't have a door before.

Jenn

Today I FINALLY made the continous-brew kambucha set up. Its fermented black sweet tea. We got the culture from Jonathan, a guy that Romy works and carpools with. I can't wait to drink the kambucha!

Back home, doing chores like vacuuming. Boo.

Romy

On the ride today we went to Black Rock Point. We rode through a nice lawn of salt grass on the edge of the dry, desert playa. It was cool!

Romy

Today we went on a motorcycle ride to find the mysterious Quinn River. It's a river that flows into the Black Rock Desert playa and disappears into the dry lake bed (playa). We were riding and all of a sudden found it. You can't see it until you are right up on it. I was riding and then all of a sudden had to slam on the brakes or I would've fell in!

We went to the Black Rock Desert near Frog Pond to spend the 4th of July weekend at "4th of Ju-Playa." We've been having crazy weather for the past few weeks, with insane thunderstorms almost every afternoon. One of them hit us this evening and we had to hold the shade structure down so it wouldn't fly away!

At Crusty's 10th Anniversary Party for the stroke he suffered, near Santa Cruz, CA.

Nicole's goat, Tulip, had two babies and they are sooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute!!!! I love this guy, his name is Marlin (named by Nicole's neighbor, who gave birth to him and said that the male goats in this line had to have majestic fish names. Marlin's father is named Tuna LOL!).

Carson City's very own, once-a-year, "Blinky Man!" Where you dress up like a weirdo and put a bunch of lights on your bike, and then go on a pub crawl all around Carson City. This is a picture of us in front of the capital building in Carson City (the capital of Nevada, for those who didn't know). (We later sold these bikes for $250 each to four gay guys who live in LA before Burning Man.)

I am back home in the U S of A, and we are beginning the crazy laundry room work-a-thon! Romy is installing the copper water pipe that will go to the in-wall toilet tank for the wall hung toilet.

The wall hung toilet came today but it was busted! The porcelain was cracked. The company will send a new one, for free.

Coffee at Starbucks! I really like the Starbucks in Trondheim. The barista makes a heart in the froth.

I took a walk around the very old cathedral and the cemetery that is behind it. Its still raining! Non stop everyday!

The ReMax balloon was flying near the airport by our house before Romy went to work this morning! It landed for a while too.

We are continuing work in the crawl space. It is sooooo hot for some reason. Where is the heat coming from?

Romy

At the Home Depot's tool rental center. We're getting a mini jack hammer breaker thing to bust through some concrete in the crawl space. We are redoing the laundry room and adding a toilet.

Tonight the irrigation starts!!!! We are out in Fallon, NV testing out our new system on an 80 acre alfalfa field, and it was pouring rain!

Look how much fencing I already got done! It finally being fixed :)

We found this huge grub while clearing a stump near the fence I am fixing.

Romy has been messing with the Baja's carb and jets lately.

North of Albuquerque, there are a bunch of hot springs. This one made its own cave! Romy had to take his glasses off because they were steaming up.

We went on top of Sandia Peak by Albuquerque and it was windy and cold!

In Vienna, Austria, in some kind of garden area by the Hofburg Palace. Now I am attending the EGU Conference.

In Paris, France at a gigantic flea market, on the north side of the city. It's called Marche Aux Puces. Just keep walking past the crap once you get out of the metro station (what I remember was the last stop on that line), then you will finally get to the actual place. Mid Century Modern stuff to die for.

The hotel I am staying at is very close to the St. Michel fountain and La Sorbonne. Its soooooo old the staircase is sooooooooooooo crooked. An old asian man makes breakfast every morning, LOL. Hotel Du Lys.

I am at the airport, only about one hour away from boarding my flight to Paris, France. I decided to do an experiment (yes, at the airport). I took a shower just one hour before boarding the 9+ hr flight to CDG. And guess what!? When I arrived, my hair was perfect!

The dense leafy green desert bushes are blooming (I really don't know what their scientific name is). Bright yellow flowers! In our yard! A special moment in time :)

This is the original HWY 50 (near Fallon, NV), dirt road still. Now it is a dump, so dense with garbage that you can't even drive beyond this section. Well, why cry if you can laugh? Here I am sitting on a disposed disposal.
