We just made stout beer floats! With oatmeal stout and vanilla ice cream.

We had a BBQ with our landlords and after they left we made a fire in the BBQ. There are a lot of yard cuttings that we can burn, it's starting to get cooler outside at night.

Our quick Berk-Land visit is already over! We're heading to Chico today.

We climbed up Mt. Tallac today, near the south part of Lake Tahoe. It is 9,739 ft high!

I went to DRI today to pick up my ID card, which unlocks all of the buildings so I can get 24 hour access to my office. The landscaping is all native Nevada and natural.

Romy

Romy is working on putting Dynamat in the baja to reduce road noise and help with sound insulation.

New leggings. New shoes! I love them!

Romy is working on Bubbles in the backyard of the house we are renting in Reno. I like the backyard because its big!

We had t drive all the way to Fields, Oregon to get gas! And we filled up on some gigantic milkshakes too!

Boondockers welcome! We took a long trip to Denio Junction to see a friend (Dave Manning) play some blues music at the gas station.

Early this morning we woke up and went to see the Great Reno Air Balloon Races. There were almost 100 balloons that launched from the field!

Its sooooo windy today! This is the view from the front of our house we're renting in Reno.

Romy got his lollipop! Yay, Romy is officially PHinisheD with his PhD from Berkeley!!!

I am spending the day in my new office, which is super awesome!

It was too dark to take a good picture here. Tonight we had sushi with a lot of the people we camped with at VW Bus Camp, and then went to see one of them (Dave Manning) play some live music at Silver Peak Brewery in Reno.

We made tie-dye shirts at our camp (VW Bus Camp) at Burning Man and now we are washing them out in the sink. I can't wait to see how they turn out!

Tonight we watched the Temple burning, on the last night of Burning Man.

We are both somewhere on the top of Sparkle bus watching the sunset at Burning Man.

And we're off to Burning Man! Toby and his gang stopped by to say hi before continuing on the journey to Black Rock City.

I went back to Oakland for a few days to go to school and see Nicole. Cookie is in the back.

We stopped to camp on the way back from Lassen in a small meadow. There were thunderstorms all around us!

This weekend is the EPS Grad Student camping trip to Lassen National Park. We went swimming today at Juniper Lake.

We are back in Oakland to clean up the apartment. We got it cleaned out!

We went to Jupiter in Berkeley for lunch today. It was so sunny and warm!

We finally tried the Indian restaurant that's on Fruitvale. It was sooooo good!

Romy now has two out of three signatures on his dissertation. Almost done!!!

I just turned in some applications for money to go to a conference in November.

Today the baja and the bus are going to Reno!
