It's the first Dingo meeting of 2014, and we're tearing down the engine already.

Romy's working on the wiring harness in the baja so he can start driving it to work soon.

I got my dual monitors and computer in my office! Woo hoo! I put my monitors in place so I can look out the windows, through which I have an awesome view of the sierras and downtown Reno from 1000ft above the city!

Romy has been organizing the garage all this week.

Ahhhhh! It's my first day of work as a post doc at DRI! I am very excited to be getting paid a real salary :)

Today we went on a road bike ride from our house in Carson City, to Genoa, the oldest settlement in Nevada. We had hot cocoa outside the general store.

Romy

We're trying one of the microbrewed beers we got in Tulsa OK on our route 66 trip. It's Marshall Brewing Co's Imperial Red, barrel aged.

This is our living room. It's nice to be back in Nevada!

We drove the pre-1930 alignment of route 66 that went through Santa Fe, New Mexico. We had lunch at the Plaza Cafe, which has been open since 1905 and is the oldest restaurant in Santa Fe. We made it all the way to Seligman, Arizona tonight where we slept at the Supai Motel.

Earlier today, we drove route 66 from Tulsa Oklahoma to Tucumcari, New Mexico. We stopped at the Safari Motel in Tucumcari, New Mexico, where we spent the night (at an old motor hotel on route 66).

We're on route 66 at Iggy's Diner, getting a malted chocolate shake, in Carthage Missouri. We spent the night in Tulsa, OK.

We're packing the truck today. It's snowing non stop and its supposed to get super cold tomorrow, -17F!

Today we are making some lentil stew and butternut squash and coconut soup with fresh thyme. Mmmmmm.

We are borrowing my dad's truck to bring some Buick parts and other stuff back to Nevada. Its snowing a lot and its still really cold.

We went to visit my dad in southern Indiana in the house he bought for only $25K!
