We made it! This sign was the only thing marking the event off the playa! Look at all the dust behind me! That's BLACK ROCK CITY!

We are all packed to go to Burning Man with Bubbles! Three coolers, two tool boxes, a box of dry food, an easy-up, 30 gallons of water, and 45 Watts of solar panels! Woooo!

I am all ready for a dust storm to hit! We got goggles and a head cloth.

We are making copies of the syllabus to pass out this week, the first week of classes at Dominican University where we are teaching physics!

Tonight Romy worked on the mysterious exhaust leak that needs to be fixed before we drive this thing to the middle of the desert in Nevada.

We just got back from shopping, but have to work on Bubbles again tonight and every night it seems. . .

We went to Zachary's Chicago Pizza in Rockridge tonight to celebrate N&M's new jobs!

It's crunch time! We are frantically trying to get Bubbles ready for Burning Man. Bubbles will be our home on the playa for the whole week.

Walking in the fog on my way to school. It's so cold, but it's August!

Why are we so happy? Because we escaped a crazy rainstorm in the Nevada desert without getting stuck in the sticky playa mud, and then we drove over Tioga Pass (10k ft!) with no problems. We never reached the hot spring we were looking for, but we were so close!

We are so happy to be camping again in our bus! We joined my department at Obsidian Flat campground near Mammoth Lakes.

We went to check out Hot Creek, which was shut down by the feds and now you can only bathe downstream.

There's a thunderstorm brewing, and it was coming towards up while we were hiking in the Mono Craters.

On our way to Mammoth for the EPS camping trip, we stopped in Groveland to get some beer at the Iron Door Saloon.

Still doing all of our laundry from the trip. . .

Back at home, going back to washing dishes and things. Boo.

Our journey back to California today was super long - almost 24 hours! I am trying to get some sleep.

The parliament building is all lit up at night, and it is in the Gothic architectural style.

Tonight we went up to the citadella and saw the city all lit up from the highest point around.

It was so hot today, so we cooled down in the fountain on Margaret Island. There was music and everything!

This morning we visited an old coffee house on the main drag and had a latte machiato and a Domas cake.

We went to Rudas, an old Turkish bath in Budapest for the night hours.

Today we took a bike tour of Budapest (like a walking tour but on bikes) and we were the only ones so it was a private tour! Our tour guide was really nice.

We arrived at our hostel in Budapest! It's a really nice place called Pal's Hostel.
