Today my mom and I went on a walking tour to see all of the Frank Lloyd Wright houses in Oak Park.

Tonight I have a hotel room near Union Square in San Francisco for a weekend workshop related to my research at Berkeley.

I'm on the coach bus again going to San Francisco to AGU. It's the last day!

Today I am taking the luxury Trans-Bay coach bus run by AC Transit to get to the week-long AGU conference in San Francisco. I am giving my talk today entitled, "Flow Focusing in Compacting Marine Sediments: Implications on the Age and Spatial Extent of the Methane Source for Gas Hydrates."

These will be my new glasses frames.

I love this picture because of what you can see out the window! Mountains, snow, and pine trees. We are driving home now, along HWY 395.

Today we visited the Ibex Dunes, which are on the southeast part of the park, and only accessible by a dirt road, and then about a 1.5 mile hike. We've climbed all of the dunes in the park except Panamint Dunes (which are a 4 mile hike from the nearest road).

Tonight we camped near the Ibex Springs, which used to be a mine for mica. Somebody planted the palm trees at the springs a long time ago.

We drove to Willow Spring in the Gold Valley, which is just outside of Greenwater Valley (just east of the actual Death Valley) in Death Valley National Park. I know, there are lots of valleys!

We made it to a nice camping spot before it got dark. We camped along the Amargosa road, near the Inyo Mine out of Echo Canyon in the Funeral Mountain Range in Death Valley National Park.

In Ridgecrest, we saw another Buick!!!

Today Bobby, Julie, and us went to the Winchester Mystery House and then went wine tasting in Saratoga at the Savannah-Chanelle Winery. We tasted 13 different wines, including a port. Sooooo good!

Today we took Bobby and Julie to In'n'Out, the best hamburger place in the world!!!!

Tonight was Xeubin's last day at Berkeley so his adviser (Prof. Chen, who is in the middle), who is also Romy's adviser, took the whole lab out for dinner at a Chinese restaurant. I took the picture.
